• Referrals are accepted within the first three months after a sudden or unexpected death in traumatic circumstances​

• Early Intervention Support offers three 50-minute sessions at a pre-arranged time and day

• Available spaces are limited and you may be asked to refer yourself for individual bereavement counselling six months after the death instead

In our experience short-term support is not helpful for clients with complex histories or mental health issues, for example ​

• if clients have experienced multiple bereavements within the last 6 months, or

• for anyone with a complex presentation, severe physical health issues, recent risk or a mental health diagnosis.

Clients with these issues will be considered for an assessment for our regular counselling service and can refer six months after the death. ​
