Bereavement Counselling Service
People who use the Service may have lost a baby in pregnancy or have experienced the death of a partner, parent, lover, child, relation or colleague in many differing circumstances. The death may have been caused by illness, accident, suicide, murder, war or natural causes. Very often people may experience a loss or life event that brings up old memories or feelings from earlier bereavements.
If you feel you might benefit from counselling support please get in touch. You will be offered an appointment to meet with a member of the Services's staff to talk about the bereavement you have experienced. From this initial meeting, if it is mutually felt to be useful, weekly counselling support with a member from our team of over ninety trained & supervised volunteer bereavement counsellors will be arranged.
The number of sessions, which will always be with the same counsellor, will vary according to need. Sessions may continue for a few months or potentially much longer if required.
Counselling can take place during the day or in the evening and takes place in our offices in Kentish Town, or sometimes in people's own homes if needed and possible.
If you would like to speak to us please contact us during office hours i.e. from 9.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
