About CCI&W Bereavement Service

Camden City Islington and Westminster Bereavement Service is an independent registered charity that covers the catchment area of Camden, Islington, The City and Westminster.

Originally founded in 1969 to serve just the borough of Camden, today the Service is an independent registered charity, providing free bereavement counselling support across the catchment area, to any bereaved adult seeking help with grief and loss.

Each year hundreds of men and women refer themselves to the Service, with demand upon the organisation increasing every year.

Last year over 9,000 hours of counselling help were provided to members of our community, who came from every type of background.

While an important part of the Service's work is funded by contributions from local Health Care Trusts, the charity relies upon public support to continue its work. Without help from Donations, Fundraising events and Charitable Trusts, the organisation and its important work would cease to exist.
